When is Software Done?

I think the question posed here is a good one. To call a piece of software complete is in direct oposition to the AppStore and GooglePlay policies and expectations. Customers have been trained to see an app that hasnt been updated as abandoned by its developer. While on the other hand large tech companies monthly and even weekly release updated touting bug fixes and performance improvements in the release notes.

What if we engineered differently?
