DualSense Controller with PlayStation 3

Turn out is not difficult at all to connect any newer (PS4, PS5) controller to a PS3. For the most part they work well. The exception being pressing the PS button to access the crossmenu bar.

Steps

Put controller in Pairing Mode.
- Hold PS & Share (~5 sec)

Pair Controller to Console
- Settings -> Accessory Settings -> Manage Bluetooth Devices

Once the controller is connected you can customize its display name. However, it will need to be input again if the controller is used to connect to another device. Also, there is an additional convience of the ability to use the PS button to wake the PS3 that works perfectly.
